According to Fondation Rivières, the report from the Office of Public Hearings on the Environment (BAPE) made public on July 13 following the public hearings concerning the project to build a hydroelectric power station on the heritage site of the historic village of Val-Jalbert does not in any way reflect the opinions of citizens and does not answer their questions. Some 73 %s of the 35 submissions mentioned opposition to the project and apprehensions. Instead, the Commissioners reported the developer's statements without commenting on their accuracy and without requiring commitment or corrections. The examples are numerous.
