Brief – Fondation Rivières submitted a brief as part of the public consultation on the supervision and development of clean energies in Quebec.

Around sixty organizations are uniting their voices to express their strong opposition to the online consultation and especially to the questionnaire in two versions proposed to the population of Quebec since June 2, in place of the "real social debate" on the Quebec's energy future promised by the Prime Minister.

Press release – The Quebec government largely underestimates the energy efficiency potential, which could even double in the coming years. However, the consultation on the supervision and development of clean energies in Quebec, which is being held today, focuses exclusively on production.

Press release – Thirty-two environmental, social, citizen and union groups denounce the gap between the Prime Minister's commitment to holding a “real societal debate” on energy and the format of the consultation announced by the minister's office of Economy, Innovation and Energy, Mr. Pierre Fitzgibbon, April 26, 2023.

The Fondation Rivières and around twenty signatories ask the government of Quebec to commit to protecting the last major rivers of Quebec by renouncing the construction of new dams and to launch a major public debate on energy.
