Press release - Fondation Rivières considers the Environnement-Plage voluntary bathing water quality monitoring program to be highly deficient, and even dangerous, for the safety of bathers. The program does not take into account the risks associated with the presence of sources of contamination, it allows too long a delay in obtaining results, and its optional membership enables some people to avoid water sampling. What's more, it doesn't comply with international standards, the website is confusing and it generates unjustified costs.
