Press release - Fondation Rivières welcomes the new 2018-2030 Quebec Water Strategy released by the Minister of Sustainable Development, Environment and Climate Change (MDDELCC). The document has the merit of identifying the many challenges to be met in order to improve the quality and preserve the availability of this precious resource that is water. The presentation of the document is accompanied by an unequivocal invitation to the public to make a substantial contribution.
Roy Dupuis, President of Fondation Rivières, signs an open letter in which he deplores the fact that the process put in place for the construction of small hydroelectric power plants does not address the issues of transparency, democracy, economic profitability and sustainable development.
