href=\"https:\/\/eaugaspesiesud.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Conseil de l\u2019Eau Gasp\u00e9sie Sud (CEGS)<\/a>, on s\u2019inqui\u00e8te depuis quelques ann\u00e9es de la prolif\u00e9ration d\u2019algues, notamment dans l\u2019estuaire de la rivi\u00e8re Bonaventure. Et si les rejets des stations municipales de traitement des eaux us\u00e9es contribuaient au probl\u00e8me?<\/p><p>Le CEGS s\u2019est tourn\u00e9 vers la Fondation Rivi\u00e8res afin de dresser un \u00e9tat de la situation. Le projet visait \u00e0 \u00e9valuer la performance des syst\u00e8mes municipaux de traitement des eaux us\u00e9es sur son territoire entre 2017 et 2020 et \u00e0 produire un rapport synth\u00e8se destin\u00e9 aux d\u00e9cideurs municipaux, aux groupes d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat et au rel=\"noopener\"> Suivi des ouvrages municipaux d\u2019assainissement des eaux us\u00e9es (SOMAEU)<\/a> 2017-2019 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 obtenues aupr\u00e8s du <a href=\"https:\/\/www.environnement.gouv.qc.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">minist\u00e8re de l\u2019Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques (MELCC)<\/a>. Les 14 stations d\u2019\u00e9purations et leur r\u00e9seau ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9partis parmi 3 zones d\u2019\u00e9tude selon la sensibilit\u00e9 de leur milieu r\u00e9cepteur (voir la carte). Une \u00e9valuation a ensuite \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9e sur la base de deux grands volets : la performance des stations d\u2019\u00e9puration et la performance des r\u00e9seaux et ouvrages de surverse.<\/p><p>Les exploitant.e.s ou les directeurs et directrices des travaux publics responsables des syst\u00e8mes de traitement des eaux us\u00e9es ont d\u2019abord re\u00e7u une fiche descriptive pr\u00e9sentant les donn\u00e9es recueillies et r\u00e9sumant les principaux enjeux li\u00e9s \u00e0 la performance de leur syst\u00e8me d\u2019assainissement. Ces personnes ont ensuite \u00e9t\u00e9 sollicit\u00e9es pour remplir un questionnaire sur les am\u00e9liorations planifi\u00e9es et les travaux r\u00e9cents effectu\u00e9s tant sur le r\u00e9seau qu\u2019en station. Nous avons ensuite proc\u00e9d\u00e9 \u00e0 des appels par vid\u00e9oconf\u00e9rence afin d\u2019aller plus en profondeur dans la compr\u00e9hension du fonctionnement des ouvrages et l\u2019\u00e9laboration de solutions potentielles aux probl\u00e8mes identifi\u00e9s dans les \u00e9tapes pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes de la
