An industrial spill is suspected.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The sentinel of the Yamaska River associated with the Fondation Rivi\u00e8res, Jacques T\u00e9treault, sent an official complaint to the Ministry of Sustainable Development, the Environment and the Fight against Climate Change in Longueuil. Urgence-Environnement was also seized of the file.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Fondation Rivi\u00e8res is concerned that such releases are occurring. Certain categories of industries are not sufficiently monitored according to the Foundation, which has also identified this problem in its <a href=\"https:\/\/gallery.mailchimp.com\/281b6ce163ca19d3652a0d429\/files\/2015_06_01_FR_Plan_strat_gique_2015_2020.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-schema-attribute=\"\">strategic plan<\/a>.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>This time, pictures are worth a thousand words to describe the importance of the situation. It is unfortunately still a reality, in 2015, that such situations occur regularly on our waterways. \u201cIt is everyone&#039;s responsibility to denounce this type of situation,\u201d maintains Mr. T\u00e9treault, who finds it both distressing and discouraging that such a situation arises, barely two years after the Estates General on Water. of <a href=\"https:\/\/fondationrivieres.org\/en\/quest-ce-quun-bassin-versant\/\">watershed<\/a> of the Yamaska. \u201cThe population is now aware of this type of issue. People want a clean river and pure water.
