In the morning, during a heatwave, Montrealers will be invited to jump into our majestic <a href=\"https:\/\/fondationrivieres.org\/en\/projects\/adoptez-une-riviere-fleuve-saint-laurent\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/fondationrivieres.org\/projets\/adoptez-une-riviere-fleuve-saint-laurent\/\">St. Lawrence River<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Led by the Fondation Rivi\u00e8res, the event is always relevant to loudly demand access to swimming places where the water quality is generally excellent and is not in doubt at the time of the event. \u201cVerdun beach was finally inaugurated today, which is another step towards reclaiming our waterways. But we must continue to demand better access to the water surrounding the island of Montreal, particularly in the city center,\u201d says Alain Saladzius, president of Fondation Rivi\u00e8res, who cites Paris Plage in particular as a source of inspiration. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, this \u201csummer development of the banks of the Seine (\u2026) resonates with Montrealers who wish to reclaim their insularity, thanks to beach projects on the banks of the Saint-Laurent\u201d wrote Val\u00e9rie Plante in the preface to \u201cLa life in public space, how to study it\u201d (\u00c9cosoci\u00e9t\u00e9, March 2019). Every year, the group meets during the summer period for the Grand Splash to assert its demands with elected officials and citizens.
