Longueuil, Saguenay, Laval, Quebec, Gatineau, Terrebonne and Sherbrooke alone are home to half of Quebec&#039;s population and are responsible for 42% of the total intensity of wastewater spills in Quebec, as demonstrated by the sad 2020 ranking of wastewater spills.<br><br>After an electoral campaign strong in proposals on the environment, Fondation Rivi\u00e8res congratulates the new municipal elected officials and offers its expertise and collaboration to support them in their initiatives aimed at preserving wetlands and reducing wastewater spills in our rivers.<br><br>With the <a href=\"https:\/\/fondationrivieres.org\/en\/fondation-rivieres-rend-public-le-triste-palmares-des-municipalites-2020-2\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/fondationrivieres.org\/fondation-rivieres-rend-public-le-triste-palmares-des-municipalites-2020-2\/\">sad list of 2020<\/a>, the new elected officials have everything in hand to better understand the problem, a key element to be able to take effective action.
