The Fondation Rivi\u00e8res will conduct a study on the water quality of the Rivi\u00e8re du Nord in order to highlight the swimming potential. The announcement was made by the mayor, Janice B\u00e9lair-Rolland, and by the president of the Foundation, Alain Saladzius, during a press conference organized as part of the Grand Splash event, which was held for the first time times in Saint-J\u00e9r\u00f4me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The City recently inaugurated the art garden<\/a>, a walk along the banks of the Rivi\u00e8re du Nord in downtown Saint-J\u00e9r\u00f4me, which aims to restore access to nature and the Rivi\u00e8re du Nord to citizens. This collaboration follows the one we did last year at L'Assomption where the study of Fondation Rivi\u00e8res<\/a> allowed the City to open a beach in the city center. For this project, we will use the same rapid analysis technology used at L'Assomption. This technology, by enzymatic reaction, gives a result in 15 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cEnsuring respect and sustainability of our natural environments is a priority objective for the City, and an important responsibility.
