That solutions exist to reduce pollution, as long as everyone takes their responsibilities? That water quality is an important element contributing not only to our health, but also to that of all biodiversity?<\/p>\n<p>All year long, the Fondation Rivi\u00e8res team worked to identify sources of pollution, inform the population and influence decision-makers in favor of better water protection. Water must be at the heart of our concerns, it is essential to life.<\/p>\n<p>Here is what we have accomplished thanks to your support:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We have <a href=\"https:\/\/fondationrivieres.org\/en\/actualites-et-ressources\/\">produced or initiated studies<\/a> identifying priorities for action to reduce wastewater pollution on the B\u00e9cancour, L&#039;Assomption, Richelieu, Missisquoi Bay and the St. Lawrence River;<\/li>\n<li>We have <a href=\"https:\/\/fondationrivieres.org\/en\/deversements-deaux-usees-letat-doit-controler-les-municipalites-afin-de-reduire-les-rejets\/\">transmitted concrete recommendations to the government<\/a> to reduce wastewater overflows of all types;<\/li>\n<li>We have supported citizen initiatives in their actions to preserve environments;<\/li>\n<li>We have <a href=\"https:\/\/fondationrivieres.org\/en\/journee-mondiale-de-leau-lassainissement-des-eaux-a-la-derive-depuis-quatre-ans\/\">made public various files<\/a> to maintain political pressure to resolve problems;<\/li>\n<li>We have collaborated with different environmental groups on several water protection issues, particularly in regulatory issues related to hydrocarbons and <a href=\"https:\/\/fondationrivieres.org\/en\/port-de-montreal-a-contrecoeur-un-pour-tous-et-tous-pour-le-chevalier-cuivre\/\">preservation records<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is only with your support that we can continue this hard work in 2019, to encourage municipal and government decision-makers to implement the best possible practices for our waterways.<\/p>\n<p>Support our actions by <a href=\"https:\/\/fondationrivieres.org\/en\/impliquez-vous\/devenez-membre\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">becoming a member<\/a> or by doing <a href=\"https:\/\/fondationrivieres.org\/en\/impliquez-vous\/faites-un-don\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">a donation<\/a>, either directly to the Fondation Rivi\u00e8res, or via the<a href=\"https:\/\/fondationrivieres.org\/en\/our-actions\/adoptez-une-riviere\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">adoption of a river<\/a>. An adoption will allow you to obtain a tax-deductible tax receipt. A deduction of 35% is granted on the first 200$, then a deduction of additional 53% is granted on the excess of this amount.
