Save the Magpie!
A few weeks ago, the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) organized a flash demonstration which had an unexpected outcome: a representative from Hydro-Québec came to tell the participants that there was no no more dam project on the Magpie River.
Now that the last obstacle has been removed, the government has all the cards in hand to create a legally recognized protected area. It is therefore important to sign and share the SNAP petition to protect this exceptional river, recognized worldwide, and which we had the pleasure of descending with Robert Kennedy Jr in 2004 to make it known.
Sign the petition for the protection of the Magpie!
The petition is closed: More than 11,000 people have signed the petition to protect the Magpie River. THANKS!
