Energy and unjustified hydroelectric dams
Mobilization against the Val-Jalbert power plant
La Fondation Rivières led a series of actions between 2012 and 2015 to prevent the construction of a hydroelectric power plant on the Ouiatchouan Falls in Val-Jalbert.
Avec Énergie
Led by the Fondation Rivières and Nature Québec, the Avec Énergie campaign brings together 11 artists delivering a message of mobilization for Quebec to make the green energy turn of the 21st century.
Adoptez une rivière
Adoptez une rivière was originally an operation to prevent the government from destroying 36 waterfalls to build hydroelectric power plants. In 2001, about a hundred demonstrators and sixty artists mobilized to save a large part of these falls, in addition to contributing to the emergence of ecotourism projects. The movement launched the creation of the Fondation Rivières!
