The day after our publication, the deputy general manager of the municipality and director of sustainable development wanted to correct certain facts that we consider essential to share for an adequate understanding of the situation.
The Metropolitan Community of Montreal (CMM) adopted a regulation on April 28, 2022 aimed at protecting several natural environments in its territory, including wetlands. However, a stone's throw from the territory of the CMM, the municipality of Saint-Donat stands out for its inconsistency in authorizing the Domaine de la Montagne Noire real estate development project, damaging fragile natural environments.
Nearly a year after submitting its application, Fondation Rivières officially obtained its charitable status! Excellent news, welcomed with enthusiasm by the entire team.
